World Heritage Site in 1994, its narrow streets and typical houses have unparalleled beauty and charm and have retained their unique character for more than a thousand years.

The ideal way to get to know it is to start the visit at the Casa de Zafra Interpretation Center and then stroll and get lost in its corners. In the Albaicín you will breathe the essence of a neighborhood that evokes both Arab architecture and that of other ancient Mediterranean cities. Much of its charm resides in the many carmenes that populate the neighborhood (typical houses with orchards and gardens), as well as on the slopes that lead to its impressive viewpoints, among which the San Nicolás viewpoint stands out.

The Alhambra complex, the most spectacular Arab citadel in the world and symbol of Granada, is made up of different areas to visit: the Alcazaba, the core of the fortress dedicated to surveillance; the palace of Carlos V, of Christian construction that also houses the museum of Fine Arts; the Generalife, resting place and gardens; and the Nasrid Palaces, heart of the Alhambra and seat of the sultans.

The monumentality of the favorite city of the Catholic Monarchs can be seen in buildings as impressive as the Cathedral, symbol of the Christianity of Granada, which marks an excellent point to start a walk through the heart of the city. Next to it is the Royal Chapel, pantheon of the monarchs, and a little further on, the San Jerónimo monastery, a first-rate Renaissance gem.

El Realejo is the old Jewish quarter of Granada, or Garnata al-Yahud (Granada of the Jews), as it was called in Muslim times. It is located right at the foot of the Alhambra, and without a doubt, the Sephardic heritage can be seen in its streets and corners, as well as in the statue of the Jewish scholar Yehuda Ibn Tibon, who presides over the entrance to the neighborhood from Pavaneras street.

El Sacromonte is the most distinctive neighborhood in Granada, world famous for its cave dwellings and magnificent views, as well as for being considered the birthplace of flamenco.

Its flamenco and festive tradition is perceived in the shows that are held daily in the zambras (caves used as tablaos), as well as in the spontaneous displays that can appear at any time in the bars and terraces of the neighborhood.
